The Indiana Historical Society has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington, D.C., to support its Indiana Experience project. The Indiana Historical Society cut seven of its 82 staff positions today in a move to save $1.3 million over the next three years.CEO John Herbst said the cuts were necessary to prepare for endowment losses that will be realized in 2011 and 2012.
